About me

Welcome!

I am Maaike Heutink and I am thrilled you landed on my page.

In 1989 I started studying Medical Biology and in 2003 I received my Ph.D. in Physiology. In 2008, I discovered there is more than science alone; I learned the added value of coaching. I think it’s fantastic to work with people and to see how they (re)discover their own power. By asking the right questions and by subsequently applying the right technique, I give people tools to solve a problem by themselves.

I built a bridge between my medical background and my experience as Coach.

And yet, something was missing.

In 2011 I had to go to the hospital for my first big abdominal surgery. That surgery was stressful and I had no idea what was about to happen. When it became clear that in 2012 another surgery was to be scheduled, I started preparing myself. As a result, I was relaxed, I had a positive and proactive attitude and I was home the day after my surgery. Nothing better than sleeping in your own bed!

I never thought I would ever be grateful for my surgeries, but that is truly the case. It provided me with an enormous amount of knowledge; knowledge that completed the bigger picture for me. And now I want to share that knowledge with you.
